    To instill in bowhunters a responsible attitude and to assist them to adopt and follow an acceptable behavior toward people, wildlife and the environment in which they hunt.

    The following topics are covered:
    • Your responsibilities as a bowhunter
    • Equipment
    • Shot placement
    • Planning a hunt- maps, statistics, etc.
    • Laws and regulations
    • Tree stand safety
    • Survival
    • Basic first aid
    • A range session that covers following up the shot, tracking, and shoot no shoot situations – the candidate is also required to shoot three broadheads and three fieldpoints
    Class Dates at Bass Pro Shop:
    • Sunday, April 20, 2014 9 am – 5 pm
    • Sunday July 13, 2014 9 am – 5 pm
    • Sunday December 28, 2014 9 am – 5 pm
    Students must have already completed their CPW Hunter Safety Course. Upon completion of this class, students will receive their IBHE Bowhunter Education Certificate.

    You can either register through the website or, if you prefer, you can send in a check or credit card information along with the registration form, which you can download HERE.

    NOTE: There are no longer any "couples" registrations; each person attending will register as a single person. Also, there is no longer any assigned seating; all seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.


    Vendor space is limited. Vendor spaces may be reserved for $100 or a donation of equal or greater value. For vendor information or registration, please contact Roger Trudell.

    All photos must be submitted at the event by 11 am on Saturday March 27th, 2015. Photos must be at least 5” x 7” and must be either framed and/or matted. Name and address must be on the BACK of the photo.


    If you are interested in submitting your harvested big game in the CBA Awards or display your trophy at the banquet, please contact John McDonald.

    John needs to know the type of mount:

    To submit a bowhunter for a first timer award, please contact John McDonald. You will need the following information: First Timer’s Name and Address, species harvested, county/state of harvest location and harvest date. Photos are greatly encouraged for a slide show and displays.
