Summer is here and it is time to start planning for the CBA Jamboree. This year’s event will be held July 17-19. A new location this year puts us south of Leadville at the base of Quail Mountain. A detailed map will be available soon. This is a private property location that will hopefully become a big asset to the CBA and future Jamborees. As such, it is up to us to respect this area and leave it in the pristine condition that we find it in. Out of respect to the land owner, camp fires will not be allowed. We will, however, be having a group social both Friday and Saturday evenings where we will have a fire to gather around. ATVs are not allowed on the property. You are free to bring them, but they must be taken to other locations to be ridden. As in the past, pets will not be allowed on the ranges or in any social/vendor areas.
The Jamboree is always a fun event, and we are always looking for volunteers. Whether you are interested in helping with merchandise, sign in, or setting targets, we are always grateful for a helping hand. We are also looking for EMTs who will be at the event.
If you are a vendor interested in a booth, please contact Randy Millsap at 970-405-6991.
Hope to see you there! If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Jared Smith, 2009 Jamboree Chairman, at 970-284-7892 or e-mail customproduction@juno.com.
Vendor Reservations

The CBA is now accepting vendor reservations for the annual Jamboree. This year’s event is going to be held July 17-19 near Quail Mountain and Twin Lakes south of Leadville. This is the CBA’s largest event and has steadily grown year after year. This three-day event will include several 3D ranges, vendors, seminars, calling contests, specialty shoots, swap meet, cooking contests, and much more. We are asking for your involvement to help make the event a success. The large variety of vendors is always a popular place throughout the entire weekend.
The vendor fee will stay at $75. Additionally, the State of Colorado requires all vendors to have a state sales tax license. Special events tax packets will be distributed to vendors at the Jamboree. Please mail the following items to Jamboree Co-Chairman Randy Millsap:
- Name of business
- brief description of products offered
- contact info
- $75 vendor fee payable to Colorado Bowhunters Association
You will be contacted in order to verify receipt of your registration. As always, vendor space is first come first served. Thank you for your time and consideration!
