Archery GOLF Rules
Archery golf is a par 3 course. There are 19 holes in archery golf; therefore, the course par is 57. Archery golf can be played by any number of players. Each target is designed to accommodate up to 5 players. Nearly any game played on a golf course can be played on an archery golf target (Examples include: Skins, Wolf, Best Ball (arrow), ect….). Handicaps can be acquired after 3 rounds of 19 holes and applied to tournament play. Use your imagination; generate your own scoring rules. Anyone caught whining during play should be asked to leave the game immediately. HAVE FUN!
Scoring
Just like golf, the Green rules. “The closer to the hole, the better the score.”
- Any hit within or cutting the Green is awarded a score of 4 for the hole
- Any hit within or cutting the Yellow is awarded a score of 3 for the hole
- Any hit within or cutting the Blue is awarded a score of 2 for the hole
- Any hit within or cutting the Red is awarded a score of 1 for the hole
Just like golf, hazard shots are BAD NEWS!
- Any hit within, or cutting a hazard is awarded the “hazard score”
- Sand is awarded a score of 6 for the hole (Green Rules: see above)
- Water is awarded a score of 7 for the hole (Green Rules: see above)
- Any hit within the White portion of the target is awarded a score of 10 for the hole
- If a player hits the wrong hole, for any reason, a score of 10 is awarded for the hole
General Play
- 3 arrows per end
- 1 arrow per hole/target
- Player one starts on hole 1, and shoots 3 arrows; one arrow at hole 1, one arrow at hole 2 and one arrow at hole 3. Player two starts on hole 4, Player three starts on hole 7 and so on. Similar to a shotgun start on a golf course. (This SHOULD eliminate arrow damage)
- Scores are recorded after 3 shots and arrows are gathered. (Be careful when recording scores. Be sure to place the score on the correct hole)
- After all players have completed 18 holes, the scores are totaled. The player with the LOWEST score is assigned target 1 on the 19th hole. The player with the next LOWEST score is assigned target 2 on the 19th hole. The same rule applies for players 3, 4 and so on. Only one arrow per player is shot at the 19th hole (Make it count!)
19th Hole
Scoring on the 19th hole is based on hit or miss and is handicapped by target size. A hit is awarded a score of 1 and a miss is awarded a score of 5. Scores are recorded on the 19th hole and added to the total.
