- Resident big game license fees will likely increase in the immediate future as a result of cooperative agreements between various Sportsman Groups and the CDOW. These increases are needed in order to fulfill the growing needs of the agency and resource users. In addition, the increases also support improved public education in defense of hunting and fishing. Any increases however, have to be approved through the State Legislature... bills are being drafted at this time.
- 2004 requests for additional licenses by both the Outfitters and the Landowners have been temporarily tabled. The general hunting community overwhelmingly rejected the thought of additional licenses based on what appears to be a subsidy request. However, the CDOW and CWC have made it clear that discussions are NOT closed and will be re-visited at a future date.
